Matt Tan Glaze Acrylic paint – 17 ml from Vallejo.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Matt and opaque acrylic colors with highest pigment concentration in a water-based formula, especially developed for brush-on application.

The Model Color range is very extensive. It includes basic shades as well as many references developed by our experts for use on historical models.

The assortment includes a selection of glazes, transparent and fluorescent colors used for achieving special effects.

First prime the surface before painting it.

The colors dry rapidly and form a self-leveling, homogenous paint film.

Model Color performs exceptionally well on all surfaces, with extraordinary adherence on resin, plastics, steel and white metal.

Thin down Model Colors with Vallejo Paint Thinners when using it in an airbrush.

Clean tools and brushes with water.

Safety: Matt Tan Glaze Acrylic paint – 17 ml from Model Color is not flammable, and does not contain solvents.

Packaging: Model colors are in bottles of 17 ml/0.57 fl oz with an eyedropper.

This packaging prevents the paint from drying or evaporating in the container and therefore it can be used in minimal quantities and preserved for a long time.

SAFETY WITH ACRYLIC RESINS, SOLVENTS AND OTHER ADDITIVES

The acrylic resins in Vallejo Paints are in a relatively diluted state, compared to their usage in other industries.

They do not present a danger to health or environment. Residual Monomers are below the level of 0,05%.

Conservation additives are very strictly regulated and updated by European Common Market legislation, and kept below the maximum permitted levels.

Other materials used in our products are mostly natural, such as shellac and gum arabic, and can be recycled.

Many components in artists paint, whether solvent- or water-based, are in themselves not irritating but can cause allergic reactions in some people.

Well known allergenics are turpentine and similar products employed in oil and alkyd paints.  Even acrylic resins in a water-based solution, normally completely inoffensive, have been known to cause an allergic reaction in some exceptional case.

However, even people who may have allergic reactions to certain ingredients can work safely if the necessary precautions are taken. Precautions include good ventilation of the working area and preventing ingesting or inhalation of the paint fumes.

Alcohol
Liquid Gold and our Brush and Airbrush Cleaners contain alcohol in their formula.  The amount of alcohol would be included under the headings R-37, R-38, R-41 or R-36 in a quantity equal or superior to the limit set in Annex I, of law 67/548/CEE of 20 April 1994, or, in its absence, the limit fixed by Table IV of Annex I of the above mentioned law.

In view of above regulations, Vallejo’s Brush and Airbrush cleaners are “Non irritating to the skin, eyes or respiratory system”.  Liquid Gold contains a slightly higher percentage of alcohol and can be “Irritating” or may “Irritate eyes”.

Under the same minimums fixed by the above law, Vallejo can also state that their products do not contain substances which are harmful, toxic or very toxic, so they are “Not Harmful”.
