Swap meet dates for 2020

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic it is not sure whether any swap meets will be allowed for the rest of 2020.

We received the following dates for 2020 from the different organisers across South Africa.

We will not attend all the swap meets in 2020.  Subscribe to our newsletter to receive emails with information on swap meets we plan to attend.

  • This can be done by simply registering as a user on the website and opting in to receive the newsletter.
  • You could also send us an email, requesting to have your email address on the mailing list.
  • You could also log in with your user name and password and opt in to receive it.

The dates for 2020 we are aware of are as follow:

31 October 2020 – Crossroads (Krugersdorp)

The venues for the different swap meets as well as the contact persons are listed below:

Benoni (EMRIG)

Northmead mall in First street, Benoni.

Event is from 09:00 till 12:00 and there is no entrance fee.

Venue to be announced

Although not officially a swap meet, Dream Trains will exhibit at this event in cooperation with FMRIG.

Edgemead Community Centre in Edgemead Drive, Edgemead.

Event is from 09:00 to 14:00 with a R5,00 entrance fee.

St Andrews Greek Orthodox Church at 26 Amajuba street, Noordheuwel, Krugersdorp.

Event is from 09:00 till 12:00 with no entrance fee.

Event is from 09:00 till 12:00 with no entrance fee.

Rondebosch (CT Society of Model & Experimental Engineers)

c/o Campground & Park road & Erin road, Rondebosch.

Saturday is from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Admission: Scholars R10, adults R20.

All train rides are R5 per ride. Rides are from 9 – 12 and from 1 – 3.

Layouts from gauge 1 to Z scale on display.
